Action Required: Test SAML SSO Access to Your Web Store
This notification is intended for customers who use SAML Single Sign-on (SSO) as an authentication method for commerce websites and your production account is on the list of accounts that have the SAML SSO SP-initiated flow for commerce websites feature temporarily switched off. The feature will be switched back on, August 5, 2020.If you plan to use SAML SSO SP-initiated flow after August 5, 2020, you must test it in your sandbox account or development account.
What is Changing?
On August 5, 2020, the SAML SP-initiated flow for commerce web sites feature will become active in your accounts. All users will have to use the same authentication method for accessing your web store, either SAML SSO, OpenID Connect SSO, or the user credentials. If a user requests a protected web site and SAML SSO is configured, the user will be redirected to the Identity Provider’s login form, bypassing any customized logic that you may have implemented as an intermediate step.
