Solaris-10 CANNOT upgrade to Solaris-11? Solaris-11 only can be gotten by installation?

We have some Solaris-10 servers (M5000 & M9000) and the business needs the Solaris-11 environment for development.

I checked and found that Solaris-10 may be cannot upgraded to Solaris-11 directly in the same machine. Is it true?

If we can abandon all current content to install the Solaris-11, but that server is using some disks from Huawei storage, what will happen to these disks?
