Changes to the Prorate by Month Calculation

This notice is intended for customers who use Subscription Billing in NetSuite.

NetSuite 2019.2 included a Prorate by Month feature for calculating prorated charges. The Prorate by Month feature has an issue for a select few use cases.


What Is Changing?

After your account receives the NetSuite 2020.1 e-fix on August 6, 2020, all subscriptions activated after that date will use the improved Prorate by Month feature to generate charges. To prevent any changes to existing charges, all existing subscription lines activated prior to August 6, 2020, will continue to use the existing calculation method.


When Do These Changes Take Effect?

This change will be in effect when your account receives the 2020.1 e-fix on
