Change to Avoid Divide by Zero Errors

in Announcements 
This notice is intended for accounts that use the Advanced Revenue Management feature and have experienced divide by zero errors during deferred revenue reclassification.

Currently, a workaround is required to avoid divide by zero errors during reclassification for zero discounted sales amounts with negative revenue allocation.


What is Changing?
For revenue elements with zero (0) discounted sales amounts and negative revenue amounts that are not returns, NetSuite will now process allocation in two steps during reclassification:
  1. Apply the negative revenue allocation to the revenue element with the greatest positive revenue amount in the arrangement.
  2. Proceed with standard carve-in and carve-out ratios for the remaining elements.
