Upcoming Restrictions on the Inventory Detail Subrecord

This notification is to inform you of restrictions that will deprecate customizations on the Inventory Detail subrecord as of NetSuite 2020.2. These restrictions will be applied to prepare for later NetSuite upgrades that will remove the ability to perform customizations on this subrecord.

What will be changing?

NetSuite 2020.2 will apply the following restrictions as part of the plan to remove support for customizations on the Inventory Detail subrecord:

Note: To prevent further customizations on the Inventory Detail subrecord, the restriction on adding new fields had been implemented in NetSuite 2020.1.

  • After all accounts would have been upgraded to NetSuite 2020.2, existing custom fields on the subrecord will be automatically hidden.
