How to work with Dataset and Workbook in version 2020.1

edited Mar 6, 2020 1:02PM in SuiteAnalytics Workbook

The new version 2020.1 is being rolled out and one of the most visible change in SuiteAnalytic Workbooks is a new data source definition. There is now a Dataset and Workbook on the Analytic home page. Where the Dataset contains your fields which then can be used among multiple Workbooks so you don't need to find them again and again. It's also a first step to demanding budget vs actual type of reports which requires multiple Datasets in Workbook (this will certainly come, but it's not yet part of 2020.1).

The best would be to look at the short video below which demonstrates the use of Dataset and Workbooks. If you had some Workbooks prior version 2020.1 you don't need to do anything extra, we automatically split them into one new Dataset (with fields definition) and kept the Workbook as it was before.
