NSC| Custom Roles to view Records for Subsidiaries to which the Role is not granted access?
Scenario:
Custom roles can have the ability to view other subsidiary records that the role does not have access. For example, a custom role only has access to a single subsidiary and wants to view the records of other subsidiary without having the ability to edit these records.
Solution:
To do this, an Administrator must grant Allow Cross-Subsidiary Record Viewing to the role, below are the steps on how to do this:
- Navigate to Set Up > Users/Roles > Manage Roles
- Edit Custom Role
- Under the Subsidiary Restriction section check Allow Cross-Subsidiary Record Viewing
4. Save the Role
Hope this helps!
