Faster Revalue Standard Cost Inventory Process
We're in the midst of an implementation and currently loading items into our Sandbox environment. Throughout testing, we're running Standard Cost rollups and revaluations. We have around 3,000 assembly items manufactured in 2 locations. Our Revalue Standard Cost Inventory process takes a few hours currently.
We have more than 50 locations where these items will exist. The one time we ran the Revalue Standard Cost Inventory for all locations, it took close to three full days.
Since the cost should be the same at all locations, I'm wondering if there is a way to leverage a CSV import to set the most-recent revaluation at all locations in a faster manner? I would envision running the Planned Standard Cost Rollup and Revalue Standard Cost Inventory at one or both manufacturing locations, exporting those values from a saved search, and importing them through a CSV upload to set the Standard Cost at all other locations without actually having the system calculate it.
