SCA SSL Cert Renewal

Our SSL Certificate is due to expire soon. We are currently using a Manual EV cert. Are there any ramifications for switching to Automatic Renewal? I don't have the history as to why we used an EV to start but I'm wondering if it's an easy switch to Automatic Renewal from Manual EV. Thanks!
