API with Logistics Third Party Best Practices

Hi Guys,

We are starting working on interfaces between NetSuite and a 3rd part logistical partner, based in France, for purchase receipts, sales order shipments, inventory adjustments.

I made a first list of the available APIs using the "The REST API Browser" and found the needed documentation for Get / Insert / Update.

My question is more about your feedback, your recommandations about best practices: is it better to use API or sharing files?
