Limit to Committed behavior changed for Non-WIP Work Orders
This notice applies to customers who have set the manufacturing preference Issue Based on Commitment value to “Limit to Committed.” This setting controls whether it is possible to Issue more components than were committed to a Work Order. Initially this preference was implemented for WIP Work Orders, and it was not respected by non-WIP Work Orders.
What is Changing?
Effective for the 2022.2 release, the Issue Based on Commitment preference set to Limit to Committed will be respected by non-WIP Work Orders as well. Backend validations have been added for both WIP and non-WIP orders.
Recommended Actions
Check whether this setting affects your current business flow. If you need to use more than the committed components on assembly builds, consider changing this preference to the “Allow Uncommitted” value.
