NSC | Display a Custom Record as a Child Record


There are scenarios where users need to display a Custom Record in a sublist of a record. In this sample scenario, a Custom Record will be displayed in the sublist of an Item record.

  1. Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types > New
  2. Enter the Name of the Custom Record
  3. Include Name Field: Remove Checkmark
  4. Allow Child Record Editing: Enter checkmark
  5. Click Save
  6. Edit the Record
  7. Click New Field
    1. Enter the Name of the Field
    2. Type: Select List/Record
    3. List/Record: Select Item
    4. Record is Parent: Enter Checkmark
    5. Show in List: Enter Checkmark
    6. Parent Subtab: Select Purchasing/Inventory
    7. Click Save
