NSC | Effects of setting the Depreciation Start Date and/or Depreciation Active in Asset creation
When creating a new asset, the populating the Depreciation Start date and Depreciation Active fields will define whether or not an Acquistion record will be created once.
Here's a table for you to better understand:
Scenario 1:
If the Depreciation Start date field is populated and Depreciation Active field is set to True, an Acquisition record will be created. This can be checked by going to Fixed Assets > Lists > Assets > View Asset Record > Depreciation History subtab > Depreciation Histories
Scenario 2:
If the Depreciation Start Date is populated but the Depreciation Active is set to False, no Acquisition record will be created
