NSC | Can negative amounts be entered in Asset Records?
Negative amounts can be entered in Asset Records if the Allow Negative Asset Cost is enabled.
To better understand how this works, here are some important notes you have to remember:
- To be able to enable Allow Negative Asset Cost, the Allow Asset Value Editing box must be set to true
- Once asset records already have negative amounts, Allow Negative Asset Cost and Allow Asset Value Editing can no longer be disabled
- Depreciation can only be ran for Asset Records with negative values if the Allow Negative Asset Cost preference is enabled
