New to NetSuite | Items 101: Inventory Items
Supply Chain Management begins with creating Item Records for all the items you use in transactions. There are many item types available and if you're #NewToNetSuite, you might be overwhelmed by them. In this article, we will be focusing on one of the basics --- Inventory Items.
Before we delve further into these Items, it's important to discuss a few features that affect what types of Items we can create. You can find these features by navigating to Setup > Company > Enable Features > Items & Inventory tab:
- Inventory – this feature needs to be enabled to be able to track quantities and profit from buying and selling inventory. If this feature is disabled, then we won’t be able to create items.
