New to NetSuite | Manufacturing 101: Assembly Items
If you're #NewToNetSuite Manufacturing, you’ve come to the right place! Let's start with the basics: Assembly Items.
In this guide, we'll explain what they are, discuss some key terms and show you how to set one up.
What is an Assembly Item?
Think of an Assembly Item like a recipe. It's a finished product made by putting together different parts, just as a chef combines ingredients to make a dish. In this case, we're creating products by assembling various items.
Example: Building a Bicycle
Let's break it down with a bicycle. The bicycle itself is our Assembly Item. The parts include things like wheels, frame, pedals, and handlebars. There are also sub-assemblies, like the front wheel assembly, which is made up of a tire, rim, and spokes.
