Change to Quantity on Delta Charges in 2024.1

edited Feb 14, 2024 12:44PM in Announcements

This notice applies to customers who have enabled the global invoicing preference Create Delta Charges for Changes to Invoiced Service Periods.

When this preference is enabled, changes to invoiced service periods that result in a change to the amount the customer owes generate a delta charge. The system generates the delta charge instead of creating a charge to negate the original invoiced charge along with a new charge for the new amount. The delta charge is the difference between the invoiced amount and the new amount for the service period.

What Is Changing?

Currently, the quantity of the delta charge is always the new, total quantity for the service period. In NetSuite 2024.1, when a delta charge is created and there is a change in quantity, the quantity on the delta charge will now be the difference between the invoiced quantity and the new quantity for the service period.
