NSC | Elimination > Error: Transaction and foreign currency account use different currencies.
SCENARIO:
User is responsible for executing an intercompany elimination process in their NetSuite instance. During this process, they encounter an error message stating, "Transaction and foreign currency account use different currencies."
User needs to check the currency and transactions in question so that they can change their entries.
SOLUTION:
This issue arises because the elimination transaction and subsidiary currency does not match the currency set for the foreign currency account. This error usually occurs when there is a currency set on an account record. When a currency is added to an account record, certain restrictions are placed on its use, and it may not be available for elimination journals since they only use the currency of the elimination subsidiary.
