NSC | Resolve Error: “The signing certificate does not match what's defined in the entity metadata.”
Upon logging into NetSuite via SSO, users are met with an error message: “Exception while processing SAML response. The signing certificate does not match what's defined in the entity metadata.” This could be caused by a change on the side of the SSO provider, or two or more NetSuite accounts are sharing the same SSO provider but do not use the same Metadata file.
This can be resolved by:
- Downloading a copy of the metadata in production and uploading it in Sandbox, or
- Downloading a new metadata file from the SSO Provider with matching certificates.
Important: Make sure to keep a copy of your metadata file first before troubleshooting.
