SuitePeople U.S. Payroll: Iowa Withholding Tax IA W-4 Form Requirements Effective August 1, 2024
This notice applies to customers who are using SuitePeople U.S. Payroll and you withhold Iowa tax.
The Iowa Department of Revenue published an updated IA W-4 form effective January 1, 2024. For 2024, the new IA W-4 form was revised to replace the number of allowances claimed with the dollar value of an allowance. Number of allowances can still be used but must be multiplied by $40.00 to determine the total allowance amount. This change was made to align with Federal Withholding Tax requirements.
What is Changing?
Currently, the Allowances field on the employee record for Iowa Withholding Tax is already considered as a dollar value for total allowances.
