SuiteTip: Extract Rich Text Field Values without HTML Tags using Saved Search Formula
Welcome back to SuiteTip, your ultimate guide to mastering NetSuite's capabilities! In this article, we tackle a common challenge and offer a clever solution to streamline your data export process.
The Challenge: HTML Tags in Exported Data
When exporting data from Rich Text fields, NetSuite includes the HTML formatting tags, which can complicate data manipulation and analysis. For instance, a simple text value like "Hello, World!" might be exported as "<p><span style="color:rgb(76, 230, 76);font-size:36px;">Hello,</span><span style="font-size:36px;"> </span><span style="color:rgb(230, 76, 76);font-size:36px;">World!</span></p>".
This can be an issue when you need clean, formatted-free data for external systems or further processing.
