Shop Floor Management helps you track production and manage resources like machines and labor. For beginners, setting up work orders correctly is key to avoiding delays or errors.  

This beginner’s guide shows you how to configure work orders with clear navigational paths, helping you troubleshoot common setup issues and build confidence in the Advanced Manufacturing module. 

What is Work Order Setup? 

A work order is a task to produce a product, detailing the steps (routing), materials (Bill Of Materials or BOM), and resources (work centers, labor, machines). Common issues include: 

  • Delays from incorrect routing or missing materials. 
  • Scheduling conflicts due to unassigned resources.
