NSC | Unable to Add Formula (HTML) field to a Saved Search
Scenario:
When attempting to create a saved search, a user is unable to add a Formula (HTML) field on the Results tab.
Solution:
This issue often arises due to the assigned user role's permissions. If you are using a custom role, it might lack the necessary authorization to create HTML formulas in searches. To rectify this, an Administrator can grant the required permission by following these steps:
- Navigate to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles
- Edit the Custom Role
- Go to the Permissions tab > Setup subtab, and add the Create HTML Formulas in Search permission to the role
Alternatively, this permission can be assigned in the "Global Permissions" section of the Employee Record.
