NSC | Drop Ship Sales Order > Purchase Order Not Automatically Created
Scenario:
The user created a Sales Order with a Drop Ship item and expected the system to automatically generate a corresponding Purchase Order. However, no Purchase Order was created upon saving, even though the item is correctly marked as a Drop Ship item in its item record.
Solution:
When a Purchase Order is not automatically generated for a Drop Ship item, one common cause is the Sales Order status. Here's how to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Check the Sales Order Status
- Open the Sales Order in question.
- Check the Status field at the top of the record.
