NSC | How to Track Field Change History
Suppose you notice unexpected updates to a customer record and need to find out who made the changes and when. Instead of guessing, you can enable field change tracking in NetSuite. By turning on history tracking for specific fields, you gain visibility into every modification—who changed what, when it was changed, and what the previous value was—helping you maintain accountability and data integrity.
- Go to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > [Field Type] > List.
- Edit your custom field.
- Make sure the Store Value checkbox is checked.
- If this is unchecked, the field acts as a display-only formula and changes won’t be recorded.
