New to NetSuite | Changing Document Number Format of Journal Entry
NetSuite offers users a high degree of flexibility in managing their financial processes, and one helpful feature is the ability to customize the format of journal entry numbers. This can be done through the Auto-Generated Numbers page within the system.
By accessing this feature, users can define specific numbering formats that align with their internal accounting policies, regional requirements, or organizational preferences. Whether it’s adding prefixes, adjusting digit lengths, or incorporating date codes, customizing journal entry numbers helps ensure consistency and clarity in financial records.
To make changes, simply follow these steps:
