New to NetSuite | N/currentRecord: Field.id Object
In our previous article, New to NetSuite | N/currentRecord Module Overview, we discussed the purpose and usage of the N/currentRecord module.
As we continue exploring the N/currentRecord module, this article highlights a simple yet essential property: Field.id. Understanding how to access field identifiers is key to creating efficient and readable client scripts in NetSuite.
What is Field.id?
The id property returns the internal ID of a field. This includes both standard and custom fields located either on the body of the record or within a sublist.
This property is particularly helpful when working with dynamic logic that needs to reference a field's identifier at runtime.
