NSC | JOIN Types: OUTER JOIN
Outer joins are a powerful tool in SQL that allows you to combine data from multiple tables while ensuring that all relevant rows are included in the results, even if they don't have matching values in the joined tables. This type of join is essential for gaining a complete overview of your data, especially when dealing with complex relationships or potential missing information.
Types of Outer Joins:
- Left Outer Join: Includes all rows from the left table and matching rows from the right table. Non-matching rows in the right table are assigned null values.
- Right Outer Join: Similar to the left outer join, but reversed, it includes all rows from the right table and matching rows from the left. Non-matching rows in the left table are assigned null values.
