SuitePeople U.S. Payroll: New York Metro Commuter Transportation Tax Updates

This notice is intended for customers who use SuitePeople U.S. Payroll.

What is Changing?

Starting September 12, 2025, SuitePeople U.S. Payroll will support new tiers and updated rates for Zone 1 and Zone 2 for the New York Metro Commuter Transportation Tax. The following tables list the rates per tier that will be available for selection effective July 1, 2025:

Zone 1 MCTMT rate for quarters before July 1, 2025

Zone 1 MCTMT rate for quarters beginning on or after July 1, 2025

Tier A: (0.00)

Tier A: (0.00)

Tier B: (0.11%)

Tier B: (0.055%)

Tier C: (0.23%)

Tier C: (0.115%)

Tier D: (0.60%) NEW

Tier E: (0.60%)

Tier E: (0.895%)

Zone 2 MCTMT rate for quarters beginning on or after July 1, 2025
