Urgent Reminder – Action Required: Update Reclassification Journal Entry Approval Status
This notice is intended for customers who have reclassification journal entries with the status Pending Approval or Rejected in your NetSuite account.
What has Changed?
The following changes were introduced in the NetSuite 2026.1 release:
- All new reclassification journal entries are automatically approved, regardless of user permissions.
- Scheduled reclassification journal entries are automatically approved. The Approve Journal box no longer appears on the Create Reclassification Journal Entries and Schedule Reclassification Journal Entries pages.
- The following fields are disabled for all pre-existing and newly-created reclassification journal entries:
- Approval Status
- Next Approver
- Approved box
These changes help prevent multiple approved reclassification journal entries from being created, avoiding duplicate GL impacts.
