Work Order Status Updates

This notice is intended for customers who use the Work Orders feature in NetSuite. This notice is to inform about the changes to the way Work Order statuses are evaluated in the upcoming NetSuite 2026.1 release, and outlines actions you may need to take to align with these updates.

What is Changing?

Effective with the NetSuite 2026.1 major release, the following updates will be implemented in how NetSuite evaluates Work Order statuses:

  • The Work Order status will not be affected by changes to component quantities. Specifically, if you change all component quantities to zero or equal to the quantity used in the build, the Work Order status will not be changed to
