NSC | Using Custom GS1 Application Identifier “15 – Best Before Use Date” in NetSuite WMS
Scenario:
The user was receiving Purchase Orders using GS1 barcodes that included GS1 Application Identifier 15 (Best Before Use Date) and wanted to understand how this value could be captured and used within NetSuite WMS. Although the barcode contained the Best Before Use Date, the user was unable to find where the value would be stored or displayed in NetSuite.
Solution:
Currently, NetSuite WMS does not natively support the GS1 Application Identifier 15 – Best Before Use Date.
NetSuite WMS logic is designed around the standard Expiry Date functionality, and there is no built-in field or process that automatically captures or stores the Best Before Use Date from GS1 barcodes.
