NetSuite Admin Tip | SMT Theme Customizer – Internal Server Error

When using Site Management Tools (SMT) Theme Editor, you may run into an Internal Server Error while trying to change a color setting, such as the newsletter section color. This can happen not only in custom themes, but also in general when customizing fields in the SMT Theme Editor. 

A possible cause is that too many fields have already been customized in the theme editor. This may be related to Enhancement 612391 SCA/SCS > SMT > Theme Customizer > Unable to Save More than 130+ Edited Skin fields, which addresses an issue where SMT Theme Customizer cannot save more than 130 edited skin fields. 

If you need to quickly work around the issue, you can apply the color change using CSS instead of editing the field directly in SMT. One option is to add the CSS through SMT by creating a CMS HTML content type in the All Pages area, then publishing the changes.
