Definition of custom items
We have a business that sells custom items that have about 10 different parameters. ie. length, width, etc… Also, these items are generally only made in one batch and sold once.
The way I see defining an item is as follows:
A custom record stores all of the specifications for a particular item. After the item is linked to the custom record through a custom field.
Does this make sense? Is there a better way to do this?
Also, there will be a negotiation process with the manufacturer of the item (vendor). The vendor must accept to build the item and propose a price. The way I see this is as follows:
