Show the (e.g.(Was (or Original Price) $24)))for items on special

I have recently started doing specials on my website.
I have figured out most of what I need
but I have a few questions.(All related)

1. show Original Price>
I Want to show the 'Original Price' , So my customers know what a great deal they r getting.
(don't want to have to write each detail in the description box)

2. Where to enter Specials price>
I would think that if I placed the item on special it would show the Promotional Price, but it does not. it just shows the Online Web Store Price that I had to change to a Specials price myself!
