Product

Serialized member inside product
Occasionally we have a product that is sent in for service and we need to replace the serialized member component inside. We've been doing this different ways but recently I was thinking of the "correct" way to handle this and here is what I came up with:

Customer sends in (possibly) defective product

If the serialized member item needs to be replaced we:

Create a RMA for the product (internally, the customer doesn't know about it)
