Customer Refund - Email confirmation

I need to send out an automatic email after a Customer Refund has been successfully processed.

I've looked at using Workflow and a Saved Search email, but neither seem to be able to access the "CC authorised" field - which as far as I can see, is the only way to be sure the refund was actually processed.

Has anyone done anything like this?
