Can you script the "from" email address?

We use different inbound email addresses for our customers.  These inbound addresses appear in the "inbound email address" on our cases.  Rather than having our outbound email responses to the customer come from the generic email address, we'd like to have these emails come from the "inbound email address" on the case record.

I'm not familiar with scripting (yet).  Can we script the email process so that that outbound emails come from the address listed as the inbound email address?  Anyone have any idea how to do this?
