i need a formula that calculates a sum divided by one value

edited Apr 20, 2020 5:28PM in Ask A Guru 1 comment

background:

We have goals for our top 50 companies; this goal is housed on the Consolidated Name object that is related to each customer record.

example: Consolidated Name= Pfizer, each Customer record for every division or location of Pfizer would have that Consolidated Name assigned to it.  The goal is associated with the Consolidated Name and is the total for all Pfizers.  We'd like to have this goal in one place and not on every single customer record. Is this possible?

I need to take the sum projected totals ({opportunity.projectedamount}) of all won opportunities for all Pfizer customers and divide by their goal ({custentity_ng_consolidated_name.custrecordcustrec_2020goal}) to get % to goal. (repeat for all customers)

Howdy, Stranger!
