Example of progress management

Hello,

I need some examples of progress management in case of producing products using Chinese outsourcing company.

There's no need to manage process of production, however, I need to know when and how many products would be delivered.

(because there are many cases of failure when inspections by third person are done after shipping.)

I don't have much know-how about those management so please tell me any example about this.
