Reconciling Inventory by Item Number

Hello,


First time user of NS and my client has inventory balances that don't tie out. I tried to reconcile it by item number, but the GL transaction history doesn't populate item # in the column when I add it to the report. How do yall prefer to reconcile your inventory?
