Custom transaction(sales debit note) doesn't have credit note option

Hi,

We have created a custom transaction form (sales debit note) same as invoice. After save the debit note, neither the same transaction is available in customer payment, credit note, statement also.

Is there any option that I have missed here to configure. Please advise.
