My customer has a 28 day period setup, which means their Period 6 of 2023 does not have the same dates as Period 6 of 2024 and so on and so forth. Because of this, when they try to access the Income Statement, under a prior year to date period (e.g. Period 6 2023 to Period 6 2024), they get an error:
Last Fiscal Year > is not defined for this fiscal calendar. Go to 'Setup > Accounting > Manage Accounting Periods'and set up or assign the period you need.
This error will not show if I set the Preference Report By Period > Never. However, this means that we have to use dates as filter instead of Period. I think that's not a good solution because it is very inconvenient to have to check what dates are included in a prior period etc.
