Adding "limited availability" to out of stock behavior in configuration

Hello,

Is it possible for me to add a new option under the 'out of stock behavior' in the configuration?

We only have the choice of "preorder" and "in stock". If we choose "in stock" then we confuse the customers on items without stock and we risk getting the order cancelled.

I asked NetSuite Support and they will not help me with not having paid support. Can I do this through editing SCA? If so, how can I test and deploy? Can I use an extension to change the schema data?
