In NetSuite, we have contract durations that do not align exactly with billing frequency.
Does NetSuite recurring billing auto prorate invoice based on contract length
Example scenarios:
- 25-month contract billed annually → Expected billing: 12 months + 12 months + 1 month (prorated)
- 13-month contract billed biannually → Expected billing: 6 + 6 + 1 month (prorated)
- 13-month contract billed quarterly → 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 1 month (prorated)
- 6-week contract billed monthly → prorated by actual days
- Amount = (Order Total ÷ Contract period) × months in that period
