Hello Franklin, The Duplicate Detection checkbox determines how the duplicates are detected depending on the entities/fields you selected under Duplicate Detection (Setup > Company > Duplicate Detection). You can set on the Handle Duplicate Records dropdown how the system handles these duplicates . Thank you.

OK, so i want to send the fulfillment emails nearly 90% of the time. But, when I don't want them sent, all the methods suggested do not work.
