I would love to be able to get profitability, turnover, valuation, and current stock status in one report or search. I currently do most of our purchasing and inventory analytics in excel, which isn't exactly the shangri-la I was hoping for prior to our switch to Netsuite.

Thank you JM. It did indeed help.

I realize now that this is the intended functionality. Why list available by bin if it's likely to be wrong? Odd, to say the least.
-
We just moved to bins over the weekend, and everything was surprisingly smooth all this morning. I just noticed, however, that commitments on sales orders don't affect the on hand vs available counts in bins, though they are still calculating correctly for overall on hand vs available at that location. After fulfillment,…

Has anyone made any progress on reporting landed cost? Can anyone from Netsuite tell us if there are planned improvements in this area? My wish list includes: Reporting and searching ability for landed costs Single item receipts for multiple POs Landed cost tracking in multiple currencies Thank you, Evan
-
I too would love to see details on how to set up the search and report. Getting landed cost data out of Netsuite is very difficult.
-
We use two primary locations, one for each warehouse, for tracking our stock that is available to sell. Our primary inventory view for reps is a saved search that uses numeric formulas to display the quantity available for each item in each location and also total. I don't see that this will help you with three locations,…
-
One more thing to add: we incur landing costs in multiple currencies. For example, we'll pay ocean freight and overland european trucking in Euros, but pay customs and drayage in USD. Currently we have to convert to one currency and enter all costs manually. Support for multiple currencies in landed cost would be much…

"My theory is that you would always have to handle payments 'per currency' of the invoices/bills, and a rolled up A/R or A/P balance (in the base currency of the customer or parent customer) would be for financial reporting and informational purposes." This pretty much accords with our experience. While we only sell in…

(If I understand you correctly:) I actually don't want prices to be part of the matrix, which is to say listed by location. Just want quantity available by location, and price, which according to support is not currrently possible. Thanks, Evan
-
If I've understood you correctly, that won't work for us. Two reasons: 1) Our reps check current inventory in the field, and so I want them using the quantity available (On Hand - Committed), not On Hand. Including both On Hand and Committed is more columns than I'd like. 2) We have 2 transfers/week between warehouses, and…

With help from Netsuite I now have available by location, but neither I nor support could get item prices to appear in a sensible manner. Though location prices do not exist in Netsuite, item prices prices appear by location in the matrix report, once for every location. Moreover, the price in the "Total" column appears as…

Thanks pfung. That was just what I needed, though I set it to item.
-
Yes, that is the problem. We can publish searches to dynamically populated customer groups, but not to employees. Thanks for the help.
-
pfung, Can elaborate on how to do 1? I played around some, but couldn't make anything work. Thank you, Evan

Would a custom field on the purchase order suit your needs? We've created one called "container #" which allows us to sort and filter by container.

dlinscott, Your answer repeats much of what Netsuite has already published, but doesn't address any of the questions raised in this thread. Specifically, I think JMUnderwood and farrago raise pertinent questions. I won't invest time in submitting an action plan without knowing what's happening with it on Netsuite's end.…

It defies common sense that this is an enhancement. It ought to have been present at the outset.
-
We had this happen recently (two invoices, only one fulfillment). Netsuite has told us they are looking into it. If the response is vague, along the lines of "be sure not to double-click or press the back button", I'll be less than satisfied. This is a major accounting flaw. So long as it happens with infintessimally small…

JMUnderwood beat me to it. Lost cost history is why we can't use the worksheet. Could "add multiple" be added to the inventory adjust page?
