We have a somewhat similar problem, but not payroll. We fulfill for outside parties, collect the money for them, then reimburse them the next month. Because we are selling items form a list of items, Netsuite allows us only to use income accounts that must be closed each month to a liability account. Not a huge deal, but…

We began having this problem in February and we have not yet been upgraded to Version 2013.1. Support added the case to an existing Defect #238060.

We just became aware of the issue after our upgrade to 2017.1. After contacting support we were told of a known defect. It is being tracked under Issue 447570, if you would like to file a case and have it added to the issue.

If you go to your Home tab -> Set Preferences, under the default section, select "Show Internal ID's" This will return the ID's on all our saves searches.
