I am trying to change the HTML layout of the Order fulfillment notice that gets sent to the customer. this is not a standard PDF or HTML layout as transaction forms. It is only an e-mail that gets sent to the customer, and is customizable via setup-accounting-customize order fulfillment e-mail. Oz And Angela, you both sent…

You always have to one-up me don't you... Just kidding. Great point. Didn't think of that! Never Wiz- just been so buried I missed you guys. I was only trying to answer questions that remained open....I feel the need to feel needed ;) Happy new year, Matt- hope it is the best ever!

In 2008.1 you can set the font on a custom element to "Bar Code". Thanks, -e Oh Evan, you ROCK!!!

Glad I could help. Have fun!

After having created custom fields, they don’t show up in a given order in the actual forms (in the numbered sequence they show up in the Transaction Body Fields list). By the way I have created custom forms from standard forms and expecting to see my custom fields on those forms. I am perplexed here. Also related to this…

Some good questions, let me see if I can help. Transaction Body Fields: After having created them, don’t show up in a given order in the actual forms (in the numbered sequence they show up in the Transaction Body Fields list). I chose to put a custom field on “Payment” tab (seeing that “Payment” tab is an option to put the…
-
why wont a transaction search based upon item and serial work for this?
-
A is correct.
-
Setup-customization-transaction body fields- new Label= Customer Phone(or whatever you want) ID= _customerphone Type=phone number Applies to tab=sale & print on standard forms Display tab: subtab=main, display type=inline text (I use inline text so it can not be accidently overridden) Sourcing and Filtering tab: source…
-
You can easily create a custom field that sources the customer phone and apply it to the printing fields in the form. Let me know if you need steps to do that.
-
whoops... :o sorry, thanks for the correction- score two for teamwork...
-
you can restrict access to forms on a per role basis. To do this, go into the role you want to restrict or enable, choose the "forms" tab, and you will see where they can be enabled.

Ideally NetSuite would prevent us from approving the order if a credit hold was enforced (preventing from fulfilling is too late in the process!). Then it would allow the order to be approved once a payment method was entered (amount approved on credit card) or a check payment was entered for the customer (of course it…
-
I beg to differ with you, but enforcing credit holds really doesn't work in the system for us. The credit holds prevent us from entering in an order (should be able to enter, but not approve), they do not prevent us from shipping (should not be able to ship), but they do prevent us from invoicing (stupidest thing to not…
-
If you don't use Quotes, or enforce credit holds, not sure how to help you. Sorry!
-
my apologies, I was a bit confusing. The terms and the credit limit are completely different. By enforcing the credit holds, and setting Credit limit to zero, you are then blocked from saving an order unless there is a credit amount on the customer- hence, a pre pay. If the credit limit is zero, it does not matter what the…
-
If you use the function"enforce credit holds", and apply the script that sets new customers credit to 0, you can correct all customer credit limits at once (either with a limit or with 0). Once that is done, and your script is running, you can have the terms be "prepay", and the sales order will be blocked from saving,…

I am just implementing Netsuite (SB) and I am extremely disappointed with the lack of this functionality. Prepay/CAD is such a common and basic commercial term that we should not be creating work-arounds. I would really appreciate if someone could indicate a process to deal with prepay both on the: - purchasing side…
-
The form won't let you enter both a payment method and terms. Perhaps you should just always use invoice and then just use a customer payment for immediate cash payment? Thanks, -e This is exactly what we do, and it works well for us. Although, to be honest, I did it the same way you described in the beginning of this…
-
AGREED! We do alot of COD and PREPAY. :( denise not to mention, if you discount using the feature on the top of the sales order, it also discounts the COD fee! It will only discount the shipping fee if the discount item is set up as a percentage. If it is a set dollar amount, it won't do this. It ties back to your discount…
-
did you designate it to print on your forms? I think the default just prints the price, not the extended price.
-
ray, Ill be happy to cote for it- any chance you know the case #?
-
Baruch, Any chance of making the disclaimer area easier to put in text you want. It seems to auto-format itself and not based off html. + increase the size. I wanted to change our disclaimers recently and had the hardest time would you believe. I am also trying to change this- Ray, do I have any hope of including a 1.5…

Easily done- add a custom field and apply it to the forms you need. Create a list of project codes with notes, and this will be available via a drop down- can even be created when making the custom field. Good luck!
-
I don't understand your explanation at all. We have custom Sales Order - Invoice forms, and Sales Order - Cash Sale (SOI and SOCS for short - those terms are _so_ unwieldy!). You're saying that we could have customized the Standard Sales Order, and it would show terms, and also have a payment field, and if we entered…

Hi There, On item records, the supplier name/code only works on the purchasing side of transactions. For example, If item name is XYZ, and the supplier/purchasing name is XYZ123, the item will appear as XYZ on sales orders, cash sales, invoices and fulfillments. The supplier name of XYZ123 will appear on PO's, etc. In…
-
heh... you ARE a lucky lady! But seriously, you had mentioned a transaction layout which made me think you would be dealing with a variable number of lines. If this is the case, then a mail merge will not work. If you posted an example of what you want the form to look like I could better guide you. ALSO... if you need…

The BFO PDF library is what you want to do for this. I've created 5-6 forms for our business using this great library. It requires lots of scripting, but it's the only real way to get a printable, quality looking document. How lucky is that? The one guy I wanted to ask outright responded! Great minds think alike. However,…

You can do this on the custom record form itself by navigating to: Setup-customization-record types choose the custom record type you want to allow permissions to On the Permissions tab, you can allow the level of access you choose save. Have them log out and back in and voila. alternatively, in the role permissions, under…

You probably have some restrictions in place in the employee role that prevent them from seeing or choosing other emplyees. Look in the role, if that doesnt pan out, take a look in the employee record itself. I am leaning towards a box that says 'limit to self and subordinates' or something along those lines.
