Well, look at that- not only is that option NOT under items, it is not listed alphabetically- I missed that, since it is all by itself at the bottom of the list. Thanks for pointing that out!

Thanks SkyTek. Our Invoice price level menu options are: Base Price Alternate Price 1 Alternate Price 2 Alternate Price 3 Custom I can change the text of the middle three on that page but that isn't what I want. I want to create an invoice item with the Price Level set to custom. Anyone know how? Actually, I think that you…

ok, gotta fess up, the first rep I had I about ate alive. He was not offerring services to me that I thought were acceptable. I used some tactics in my approach to the problem that seemed very effective in communicating my displeasure, and get me a new rep. :D The poor guy they assigned to me was a bit leery of me at…
-
methinks this is the time to get your rep on the phone, and give him an earful..
-
Wow, JMU. My rep is wonderful. He may not be able to get everything I have asked of him, but he certainly was always helpful in guiding me to someone who could.

so Long, turn it off- it is a global setting. Unless you want everyone else but you to have to reset their passwords. If it is causing you enough strife and dissention, just....turn it off. Setup-general preferences-delete the number in the field. dont set it to zero- that will really give you a headache ;)
-
That's the thing is that we need to do as much of this via the web service as possible. The confirmation question in the error seems to indicate that it thinks I'm attempting to modify the existing item on the order. That happens when I pass false to the setReplaceAll method for the SalesOrderItemList. When I try passing…

I would have thought you would simply look at turning the alert off. It is a global setting, if it is tweeking you that much, just flip it off, no? setup-accounting-setup accounting-ordering/shipping, uncheck require reapproval on sales orders. but thats just me.;)
-
Hi Jeremy, The above gibberish does make sense. I don't do this via web services, but I can tell you that anytime a sales order has been processed beyone the SO (ie- fulfillment or bill), you can add lines to the SO. You will see the alert, but you can choose yes, you are sure. Once you address the alert, you can then add…

define information items, please.

thanks- very helpful........

Where can I find the file definitions/file layouts info? flying blind here- and there has got to be a better way to approach this than what I am doing.

I have been working with both Crystal 11 and excel. I finally got the tables to pull on crystal, but still no luck on Excel. I am an advanced excel user, but new to Crystal, and since this is a self teaching mission, I have been trying to work in both. The wall is in Excel- no matter what I do, I get this error in Excel…

Is this an enhancement I can vote for? This is a major problem for us- as we communicate with our vendors just as much as we communicate with our customers.
-
That's it thanks! I still think I'm going crazy though, because I swear it said "PO Number" before and the help tip said it was the customer PO Number. Odd... Your not crazy, the reference field appears on the forms by default as PO/Check # on the Label, but the description, if you look at the custom form itself, is…

Will the canned report called Customer Profitability detail work for you? It appears to provide the criteria you mentioned. reports-customers/receivables-customer profitability detail
-
At home-set preferences-reporting- the field labeled 'Report by period'- what field is it set on?
-
Excellent point! So let's change the first one to this: ability to inactivate and reactive by ROLE, not globally. Cecelia :) ok, nice call. got my vote. ;)
-
Hi all, I was just about to create an enhancement request and thought I'd get others opinions on it - just to get a feel for whether others would see any value it in too. Here's the ER text: 1) Provide the ability to "inactivate" any of the standard reports so they're not shown on the Reports page (for reports that we…

Certainly. If your just looking for total sales, a simple transaction search of type=invoice or cash sale, date range defined as the entire year. Is what you want that simple, or are you looking for something more specific.
-
this can be done using a search- using the sales rep is -mine- criteria, on a public saved search will allow this to be run by different saes reps, and display only their information.
-
you want total sales orders, and cash sales? Why not cash sales and invoices? Should be relatively simple, just use the criteria of type=invoice or cash sale. Or are you looking for orders placed, but not fulilled/billed? Im a little confused as you say sales orders and bookings, but you are including cash sales as…

To take this a step further, has anyone gotten a csv upload from Excel 07 to work, either?
-
Wow. Haven't checked into this thread lately, looks like I am behind. Since I have a background in accounting, and working for large companies, I have a little different perspective in this. Don't misunderstand, I get just as frustrated with NS reports, and have found different and creative ways to extract the data I need,…

Malin, Good to hear, thanks for the update. You know, I was just thinking that it must sound to you and your colleagues as if we all complain incessantly here, so I hope you also know that we do appreciate the feedback and assistance that you provide in the user group. I can't speak for everyone, of course, but my sense is…
-
No. I tried to do this until I was beyond frustrated. Do not believe it is possible.
-
Not sure if there is one or not, but I could never find one. I was able to capture the transaction total by creating a formula that pulled the sum of the transaction lines, based upon transaction number, although not sure that will help you.
-
Hi Sig, a handy trick I use is to open the ODBC guide with the tables listed, and do a cntl-F search by keyword. Usually, it points me in the right direction. Might help you.
-
See, Sig, they don't ignore us nearly as much as we may think they do.... and from what I have learned about the NS developers in the last two weeks, it is in very good hands.....:D
-
How did you do that? File a support request? What was the turnaround time by NS? actually, I whined about it in here, and it was done almost immediately. I did not have to file a case...(but I tend to whine really loud) I guess, if you want to speed the process along, you could give support a call, and ask them directly.…
